Soulfire

I actually finished this just before I heard the bad news. It was gonna be my tribute to Mike Turner for the influence he had on me as an artist and also to wish him a full recovery… and now I guess it’s my tribute to him for a different (and much more upsetting) reason.

I recently picked up my copy of the Turner tribute book and was amazed and extreamly touched that this was included within the fan art section. Thank you Aspen for making that happen!

This is Grace from the comic series Soulfire. As some of you may have guessed by now, Michael Turner is pretty much my fave all time comic artist and I love just about everything he does. I understand that he’s currently battling with Cancer again having relapsed a little while ago, which is horrible considering what the guy’s already been through. The release of Soulfire #8 was delayed due to this so I thought I’d re-read the first 7 issues and was inspired to do this.

I wish Michael a speedy recovery and hope he returns to full fitness soon!!!
